5150 INK is the working brand of Davi Martinez, a Central Oregon tattoo artist specializing in black-and-grey work — portraits, fine line, realism, tribal, lettering, and surrealism. Davi's style draws from the Chicano and California black-and-grey traditions, an aesthetic still rare in the high desert. Established 2024.
Drawing came first. Davi grew up sketching constantly, and the artistic instinct ran in the family. When his stepfather — a tattoo artist himself — came back into his life, Davi started sitting in the chair and watching the craft up close. The way the work came together hooked him. He didn't pick up a gun himself until his girlfriend gave him one for his birthday and basically told him it was time. He did the first piece, fell in love with it, and never put the gun down.
Today Davi works as a mobile artist across Bend, Redmond, and the wider Central Oregon region — meeting clients with a fully sterile, single-use professional setup. The long game: build his own clientele, open his own shop, and bring the Chicano black-and-grey tradition to a corner of the country that doesn't see much of it.
Beyond the craft, Davi is building his practice around something a lot of tattoo artists overlook — the client experience itself. He's the calm, attentive, easy-to-talk-to kind of artist. For the person in the chair, every session matters, and Davi treats it that way.
